What a blast we had at the Kirby Signature Floral Gala Event on the weekend in Burnaby– fabulous designers, inspirational ideas & tips, great food, and shop, shop, shop! What’s new in product and floral design & what’s hot for Christmas – that’s right, folks, Christmas!
And we got to preview all the Christmas glitz and glam that’s just arriving in their warehouse. Needless to say, I brought back a carload of beautiful items to the flower shop.

Arts on the Avenue Came to Ladysmith!
On Sunday, August 28th, the famous and wonderful Arts on the Avenue street festival came to Ladysmith.
Located right outside our store from White Street to Gatacre Street on First Avenue, it was a sea of white tents lining the streets and tucked under those tents gorgeous art was on display for sale. This year we had 43 artists chosen to be in the event and it was a great success.
If you love art then this is the place to discover everything from paintings to jewellery, pottery, carving. metal pieces,photography, painted glassware, and hand woven items. Meet the artist and enjoy the day and take home a treasure.
Live music by local artists fill the air, dancing entertains the crowds, and kids have their own hands on art station where they can paint, draw and create interesting crafts .
New this year was artisan food with everything from farm fresh honey, antipasto and fresh bread.
